Osx ? Nice ! While you're there, why don't you update the Linux icon to an svg version and test it with larger panels on gnome ?

I think you're going to have a hard time finding a good designer this way. Most designers refuse to work on spec. http://www.no-spec.com/

I would suggest contacting an actual Mac icon designer (I recommend blacksheepish.com, icondesigner.net, artofadambetts.com, all of whom I've worked with professionally). Their rates are affordable and I'm sure they'd also be willing to work in exchange for space as well.
